1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled in the Zakatee mobile app and on this website (zakatee.mydheen.com) (together, “Zakatee”).

Zakatee is operated by Motionray FZ LLC, United Arab Emirates (www.motionray.io), which is the data controller responsible for your personal data. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Motionray FZ LLC.

2. What we collect

Account information

• Your name and email address.
• Your password — stored only as a one-way hash (bcrypt); we never see or store it in readable form.
• Your country, preferred currency and language (locale).
• Optionally, your phone number and address, if you choose to add them.

Financial information you enter

• Assets you record across Zakat categories (such as cash and savings, gold, silver, business stock, shares, mutual funds, receivables, livestock, agriculture and exempt personal-use items), and the dates and values you provide.
• Your Zakat calculations, history and the Zakat payments you choose to record.
• Income and expense entries, budgets and savings goals you create.

All of this is entered by you manually. Zakatee does not connect to your bank, does not read your bank or card accounts, and does not process any payments.

Technical information

Like any online service, our servers may record basic technical data when the app or website contacts them — such as IP address, date and time, the request made and error information. We use this only to operate the service, keep it secure and fix problems.

Messages you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

What we do not collect

Zakatee contains no advertising and no third-party tracking or analytics SDKs. We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we do not build advertising profiles.

3. How we use it and why

• To provide Zakatee — create and secure your account, store your entries, calculate Zakat, track your haul and show your history, budgets and charts. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (our Terms of Use).
• To keep the service secure and working — prevent abuse, investigate errors and protect accounts. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe, reliable service.
• Optional profile details (phone, address) — stored only because you chose to add them. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw by removing them from your profile.
• To answer you — reply to support and privacy requests. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in helping you, or performance of our contract.
• To meet legal obligations — where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Where it is stored and how it is protected

Your data is stored on servers in the European Union (Germany and France), provided by our hosting provider Contabo. Data travels between the app and our servers encrypted over HTTPS.

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Access to production systems is restricted to the small team that operates Zakatee and is used only to run, maintain and support the service. Because our team is based in the United Arab Emirates, your data may be accessed from there for these purposes; we apply the same protections wherever it is accessed.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach where the law requires.

5. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. We share it only with:

• Our hosting provider (Contabo), which stores the data on our behalf as a processor and may not use it for its own purposes.
• Authorities, only where we are legally required to do so, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or others.

6. How long we keep it

• Account and financial data — kept while your account is active. When you delete your account in the app, your account and all its financial data are permanently deleted immediately. Deletion requests sent by email are completed within 30 days.
• Technical logs — kept only for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
• Support emails — kept as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.

7. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
• Correct inaccurate data — most details can be edited directly in the app;
• Delete your account and data — directly in the app (More → Delete account) or by email;
• Receive your data in a portable format;
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To make a request, email motionrayfzllc@gmail.com from the address linked to your account. We may need to confirm your identity, and we respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Children

Zakatee is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising, and loads no third-party content — even the fonts are served from our own server. Our web server keeps the short-lived technical logs described above.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Zakatee evolves. We will change the effective date above and, if the changes are significant, let you know in the app or on this page before they take effect.
